Description

Sometimes we inadvertently hurt ourselves to find the answer to this ageless question.

Upclose Image (Sorry, it got a little blurred.) :(

I'm sure most of you remember this when it was in my other account.
I came up with this idea last spring, thinking oh, that would be cool. Then I found this stock pic [link] when I wasn't even looking for it.. just browsing around, click after click (ever do that?)
So, anyway, I was inspired to get it finished, because the pic was the perfect angle I looking for. Once I started it, I was surprised at how well it was coming along. The hands and tear drops were after thoughts.

I used the pic as reference to draw and paint the eye (which was so much fun!) Then I used the center of a daisy pic for the center of the eyeball. However, I have recently painted that part.
I painted the daisy's petals, the entire eye, and I painted the hand.
I then used simple textures for the skin. But it's going in paintings/airbrushing, because that was over 90% of what I did.

If you're wondering about the position of the hand. It's actually her left hand up and over to her right eye. (I had to figure that one out in a mirror) And it's smaller than real life, 'cause I didn't want the hand taking up so much space.

The reflections in the eye are supposed to be of petals floating around, but I never got the petals in the air to show correctly in the image. Unfortunatley, I had merged the eye layers before I decided to take out those extra petals, and now it looks odd with the reflections in it, and no petals above. But, I'm not about to go and change it.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry to be uploading older pieces again.
And thanks a million for reading this long description!!!
