What happens way up in the tree tops where vines grow so high?
A young faery is entertained by enchanted, feathered friends.

I did this for fun and for pastel colors of spring.
I know it has many flaws and I should have spent more time on it, but I like it. :)
She's a child. So, expect her clothes to look a little 'ragged' and her hair somewhat ruffled. ;)

Thanks to Corel Painter and its 'impressionist' brush, I was able to paint the tree and vines' bark with ease! This started out with more of the tree, but I never could get the angle I wanted, so it's been cropped some.

Daily DeviationAmong the Vines by *Rachzee is just one example from her gallery of sweet, soft, heart warming images. Her use of pastels make her figures and paintings almost shimmer with light. (Suggested by ~posse-uk and Featured by `cosmosue)

I cant pick out a single thing I like best about this. I wanted to say the way the birds look as mystical as the fairy, but I also LOVE the expression of joy on her face and, again, the way the light filters into the scene. I love what she's wearing, the way she's sitting, the way her eyes are lit up and the genuine smile that doesnt hide a thing.

Zee... I love everything about this one.

I'm not Epic, I'm LEGENDARY! LOL
I love her expression, so joyful! And that dress is so lovely with all the open slits, that's very detailed right there! And those birds are fantastic! Just a beautiful piece of work, so heavenly and magical at the same time!
